About the Role

As Accountant you will support our team on preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting and controlling. Your responsibilities are:

  • Diligent recording of all business transactions for facilitating monthly closings and public funding projects
  • Managing internal allocation accounts (Projektkonten) for various development projects
  • Issuing invoices and tracking payments
  • Gathering incoming invoices and preparing payments
  • Supporting payroll and new contract setup for new employees
  • Supporting alignment with external stakeholders like authorities, funding bodies and project partners
  • Supporting progress reports and cost tracking for public funding projects
  • Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records, etc.
  • Improving internal accounting and controlling processes

Ideally you have

  • At least 2 years experience as an accountant in a commercial environment
  • Degree in accounting, finance or relevant field preferred
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in both fluent English and German
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good quantitative skills and analytical acumen
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (familiarity with DATEV is a big plus)
  • Demonstrated time management and a strong commitment to personal and organizational accountability
